Daryl DeJean has been active in energy efficiency industry for over 20 years. Currently has own company, Emerging Technologies Associates, Inc. that is contracted by Pacific Gas & Electric and San Diego Gas & Electric’s Emerging Technologies Programs. He has conducted numerous assessments of various emerging technologies from lighting and controls as well as having created and led energy management teams. In addition, Mr. DeJean has developed and implemented electric energy initiatives including a load management initiative to reduce electric energy expenses and has led efforts to implement an energy management software system, new chillers, boiler overhaul, cooling tower overhaul, cafeteria equipment enhancement, lighting programs, HVAC enhancements resulting in reducing electric energy consumption.

 

Mr. DeJean has also conducted utility bill analysis identifying key components of rate structure targeting efforts on those “ratchet” rate sections to reduce electric energy consumption. Coordinated rebate efforts in applicable geographic areas and has led design and construction team value engineering, with the primary focus of energy conservation, a new 150,000 corporate office building.

 

Mr. DeJean was selected by Northeast Utilities’ Connecticut Light and Power to lead the Commercial Segment during the deregulation efforts. He is responsible for all efforts to secure customer load including Conservation and Load Management initiatives.

 

Mr. DeJean graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences, a M.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Management and an Executive MBA from University of Tulsa.
