David Berokoff is currently responsible for all technology program activities at SoCalGas and SDG&E. His scope of work includes RD&D, equity investments and emerging renewable technologies. Mr. Berokoff also assists in the development of corporate initiatives based on emerging strategic technologies and has over 25 years experience in the energy industry. He is a licensed mechanical engineer and has expertise in HVAC, CHP, plumbing and energy systems design, plan checking, venture fund management, RD&D, strategic planning and business development.

Mr. Berokoff launched SoCalGas’ technology venture fund in 1999 and oversees management of portfolio companies. He led development of SDG&E’ Sustainable Communities Program which enables it to design, install, own and operate efficient, clean energy systems at customer sites.

Mr. Berokoff earned a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal-State L.A. in 1979 and is a licensed mechanical engineer in the State of California.
