Edward W. Becker, P.E., 59, was born and raised in New York, but came west in 1974 with a desire to make a life in sunny California. He added a civil engineering degree to a first degree he obtained in philosophy and began a career in water/wastewater engineering. In the 1980’s he moved to ‘energy’ and has worked with Southern California Gas and Sempra Energy Utilities in various professional assignments, but for the last ten years particularly in the pursuit of new technologies, processes and systems that save energy for customers.
