Gerry Vurciaga is Vice President, Sales for GridPoint, the pioneer of an innovative Smart Grid platform to address today’s energy challenges while aligning the interests of electric utilities, consumers and the environment. He has over 30 years’ experience in strategic solution consulting, regulatory compliance, risk management and implementation of technology-based solutions for the energy and utility industries. He has also developed residential products and services programs for energy conservation and load management.

Prior to joining GridPoint, Mr. Vurciaga served as Director, General Management at Sapient, where he delivered IT solutions for North American utilities. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager, Strategic Solutions for Invensys Global Power Solutions. He has implemented business development solutions for OM Technologies, SchlumbergerSema and Convergent Group. Before entering consulting, Mr. Vurciaga spent 24 years in marketing, sales and product development roles with New Century Energies, now Xcel Energy. He holds a B.S. in business from the University of Colorado.
